The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Sr. Software Engineer I – Automation to join our growing team in Bangalore. If you're eager to work on impactful, enterprise-level web technologies and help shape the future of test automation at scale, this opportunity is for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate in an agile team environment to develop robust, scalable test automation frameworks.
  • Build automated tests for backend APIs and user interface workflows across multiple Planview products.
  • Develop metrics to assess testing effectiveness and coverage.
  • Investigate test failures and diagnose root causes using logs and data artifacts.
  • Work closely with developers and product managers to ensure product quality across releases.
  • Contribute to performance, load, and security testing as required.

Key Technical Skills:

C#, Python, Playwright, REST APIs, SOAP, Postman, REST-assured, Git, SQL, NoSQL, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, TestRail, Allure, ReportPortal, ExtentReports, CI/CD, STLC, SDLC

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in UI and API test automation.
  • Strong programming skills in C# and Python.
  • Proficiency with automation tools such as Playwright for UI and Postman/custom scripts for API testing.
  • Solid knowledge of RESTful and SOAP APIs.
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to analyze logs and identify issues quickly.
  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and best testing practices.
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Exposure to test reporting tools such as Allure, ReportPortal, TestRail, or ExtentReports.
  • Familiarity with performance testing and white-box testing is an added advantage.
